I’m Jacob Fournier, a musician, songwriter, and performer based in Columbus, OH. With over a decade of experience playing in bands, being in the studio, and recording music from home, I try to bring my own mix of creativity, raw energy, and true DIY spirit to everything I do. I play guitar and sing in my rock band, Courtney From Work, and release solo music as JakeyDelicious where I sing and play every instrument. I also create instrumental lofi music intended for anything from background music for your next YouTube video, to music to leave on for your cat while you run some errands! At the end of the day, I just have an unwavering passion for music and I’ll take just about any excuse to play it or create it. I have a certificate in audio engineering from Recording Connection and am a member of ASCAP.
Beyond music, I’ve always had a passion for entertainment of all kinds, as well as the process that goes into turning a simple idea into a complete product that captivates an audience. As a kid, I made comedy videos with friends and learned how to edit using iMovie (Windows Movie Maker if you wanna go THAT far back). As I got older and began playing music and joining bands, the need for a video camera on standby only grew as I was now around groups of friends where all sorts of hi-jinks could ensue, not to mention I was also constantly inspired by all the recording studio vlogs and live concerts I couldn’t get enough of on YouTube.
That brings us to today! Currently, I run sound and lights for comedy shows at the Columbus Funnybone, and I also film comedians’ stand-up sets when needed. All of my clients thus far have been nothing but satisfied with my work, which has inspired me to open my services up into a real business where I can offer my video and editing skills not only to comedians, but musicians who want anything from a simple live set filmed, to highlight reels, music videos, and other content. I also have a huge growing interest in skateboarding, and am always looking for more opportunities to film that as well. Whether you need a session filmed, a part edited together, whatever it may be, I’m here to help as much as I know I can, and learn even more along the way!
